Here's my 5th day of Gratitude Challenge:
1. Grateful that we (daughter and I) get to tag along Daddy once in a
while on his mission trips. Besides the opportunity to see other places,
it's the bonding moment with him that we are looking forward to.

2. Thankful that we can use travel time as learning time for our
daughter. When we saw the rice field, I told her it's where the rice we
eat is coming from. She started asking why and that hinted me to discuss
with her the differen
t processes that
occur before it reaches our table. Her answer was precious: "Mom, I want
to plant then harvest then cook the rice. I want (to) do it."
|
"Mommy, the grass feels good on my feet." |
|
"There's my shadow." |
|
"I like this, Mom." |
|
"Let's go to the beach and play sand." |
3. Full of gratitude for people who welcome us (when we travel) to
their house because of their love for Christ. Being away from home is
really a challenge. However, meeting people who make you and your family
feel at home makes it pleasurable

"Ate, I can play with this?" |

She asked if she could "play" the piano and she was allowed to. |
So, what are you grateful for today? :)
Thanks for sharing this post. I feel so grateful that everyday I still wake up despite of all the health challenges I am encountering.
ReplyDeleteYes traveling is a great way to teach our children, they learn so much from simply observing what we do and looking around them. That's why I tell my kids to look out the window when we travel. :)
ReplyDeleteand to answer your question, I'm grateful today that my children are growing everyday, loving each other and enjoying each other's company.
ReplyDeleteChildren deserve such a big space like that to play. I wish our veranda is that big for my girls to roam around when they are bored.
ReplyDeleteTraveling really teaches us and our kids a lot of things. I just wish we are able to travel more often.
ReplyDeleteI have so many things to be grateful for, and I'm thinking of also starting a post like this! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder to always be grateful, love this post ;)
ReplyDeleteit's really heartwarming seeing things through our kids' eyes... seeing them getting curious about things around them, asking questions and just enjoying everything, it is something that we can learn from i guess and it makes me feel grateful that kids teach us more than we teach them :D can't wait to travel with my little boy and see wonder in his eyes :D
