Some might argue (?) that to be grateful when all the good things in life are going your way is just natural. But that's not what I'm saying. What I am saying is: start living a life of gratitude and see what it does to your life.
It makes you see the beauty in the mundane.
The world may not be perfect, but when you have an attitude of gratitude you begin to see the exquisiteness of things around you.

You appreciate each day given to you.
You don't have to be terminally ill just to comprehend how beautiful life is. Things may not be always going your way but a thankful heart will invariably see the purpose in every circumstance.
The more you are grateful, the more you give. Therefore, the more you receive.
I have experienced this countless times. You don't wait for the blessings and then give and then be thankful. It's the other way around, I believe. Be grateful. Be a blessing. Be blessed.
How about you? Are you grateful for today? What makes you grateful? Would love to hear from you. :)
Note: Please feel free to use #gratefulfortoday in your social media posts. Let's spread the spirit of gratitude! Thank you. :)
I couldn't agree more. I've read before that "We are not just called to bless those around us. We are to bless even future generations."
ReplyDeleteYes! :) Thank you for dropping by, Michi! :)
DeleteBeing grateful for every blessing gives us more reasons to smile and appreciate our everyday lives. Today I'm grateful for the nice morning weather and for being able to work from home and spend time with my son!
ReplyDeleteThat is so true! Glad you're able to work and at the same time look after your son. :)
DeleteThank you for the visit, Nicole!
Very inspiring. When you are grateful, you realize what you have and it's easier to pay it forward
ReplyDeleteThank you, Pauline! Amen to that! :)
DeleteI agree Mommy! :) We should always be grateful for everything. :) - Audric's Mom
ReplyDeleteYes! :) Thank you for visiting, Anj!
DeleteI agree sis! Let's all try to be a blessing to one another even in the simplest form. It is never too late to save this world from all the negativity around us!
ReplyDeleteYes, it can't be done. So, let's do it! :)
DeleteThank you for dropping by.
Today I am grateful for my husband and kids, my job, the little income I get from my blog. The wonderful weather and that my boss is not around so I can turn the AC off in the office. :D
ReplyDeleteHaha! We can be thankful even for simple joys (turning the AC off), right Jhanis? Thank you for dropping by. :)
DeleteMy husband and I believe that blessings start pouring in when you are grateful. It's true that gratitude opens your eyes to even the smallest of blessings; hence you become happier and feel more blessed. :)
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more! Thank you, Kim. May "utang" pa ako sa'yo, heehee! Hope to send "it" to you before I leave the country. :) Blessings!
DeleteI'm grateful for my children who tell me they love me, without me telling them first. In the last picture, I think I see Aladdin's lamp, with a straw on top. :-D
ReplyDeleteYes, isn't that so precious? My daughter would always tell me, "Mom, I love you more." :) Really? That's awesome! I see a flying dog, however. Heehee! :)
DeleteThank you for dropping by, Cym!
hmmmm.. you inspire me to do this also! Even for a weekly posting of being "grateful"..
ReplyDelete:)
Aww! Thanks Grace! Sige, please do. :)
DeleteOne of the things taught me that I will never forget is to have a thankful stance in whatever season I am in life. It's the best way to fight off discouragement. :)
ReplyDeleteI agree! :) Thank you May for dropping by. :)
Deletei agree. though i think we forget to be grateful most of the time because we tend to concentrate on the downside of things rather than finding something to be grateful for. this is a good reminder for me :) thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteAw! Thanks Liz. It takes some effort to be grateful but it can be done. :)
DeleteI love this. There's so much negativity in the world already that we don't need more negative posts na. I may copy your hashtag in the coming days hehe!
ReplyDeleteAw! Thank you Maan! Yes, please do! Let's spread the spirit of gratitude! :)
DeleteLife is a hodgepodge of unique personalities that are either fascinating, passionate about what they do, receptive to their environment and free-spirited.I love to work with people who are full of positivity and the willingness "to do!"
ReplyDeleteMe too, Leira! :) Thank you for dropping by!
DeleteIsn't that true? I also believe that! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Aileen! Blessings on you!
I am grateful to have YOU, my sissy, in my life. You're such a blessing. No wonder other people will find this blog truly an inspiration. Keep it up and I'm proud of you. Lav u
ReplyDeleteAw! Thanks, ate Ganda! Love you more! :)
DeleteI am grateful that I am still alive and my family is still complete, and I am grateful that we just celebrated our five years wedding anniversary :-)
ReplyDeleteBlessed and blissful anniversary to you and your husband, Anna! Thank you for dropping by. :)
DeleteLast night I laid in bed, I thought about how grateful I am that 8 years ago God led us to the church we now call home. It's amazing in so many ways but I was thinking about how it's completely wheelchair accessible in every way. I never dreamed that would be something we would need, until our third child came along in 2011. God was providing for us way back then in ways that we didn't even know we would need!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing, Jen? How God would think about us and our needs even before we need them? We have a good Heavenly Father!
DeleteThank you for dropping by! :)
I love this post. All to often people go through life without stopping to realize all the beautiful things that make up our lives. Even in the midst of tragedy we are able to find beauty. I think you out it best when you said "you don't have to be terminal ill just to comprehend how beautiful life is". As I turned 20 this past week, I look back and see some pretty rough downfalls and setbacks. But the things that I am greatful for, outweigh those things a million times over. To answer your questions: I am greatful for the opportunity to get a catholic education at a university that shares my passion to spread the importance of being thankful for the things we are given and experience. also for an incredible family and friends who are the greatest support system. thanks for sharing this post, so many people need to read more things like this. so thanks for sharing to us all around the world!
